The Urban Oyster

LOCATION Locust Point / Baltimore, Maryland

SERVICE Full Service Design

PARTNERS NFD, Kim Hovell, Megan Lewis

When Chef Jasmine Norton simultaneously opened the first female-owned, and first black-owned oyster bar in Maryland, she worked with Reidy Creative to design a space that wasn’t your average oyster house. The Urban Oyster featured large paintings, bright white walls, modern furniture, and warm wood tones to create a welcoming and upscale atmosphere. The fast-casual restaurant was located in the McHenry Row shopping district until 2020 when they relocated to Mt. Vernon’s Hotel Revival.
